Bluegrass In Paradise 2012:

One of the most popular genres in America, in one of the most beautiful places in Western Colorado; Bluegrass In Paradise is a seven day Festival in Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado. With the peak of Mt. Crested Butte as a backdrop, "newgrass" and bluegrass bands from around the country will keep Festival-goers moving July 14 & 15, 2012.

The Bluegrass In Paradise Festival kicks off with a five day camp for kids, July 9-13, followed by workshops for adults, children's performances, and ten top-level bands. Bluegrass In Paradise will be seven days of foot stomping fun, learning, and camaraderie!

Getting to Mt. Crested Butte:

Bluegrass In Paradise is hosted in Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado at the base area of Crested Butte Mountain Resort on the Red Lady Stage. Located in the southwestern corner of Colorado, Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte can be accessed in a variety of ways.

The Gunnison County Airport, conveniently located 30 miles from Crested Butte, will be your closest option if you are considering flying in for the Festival. Upon arrival at the airport, shuttle service and car rental are available for the drive to Crested Butte.

Mt. Crested Butte and the base area are located north of the town of Crested Butte in Gunnison County, which is about a 5-hour drive from Denver.

Festival go-ers may also consider taking the Gunnison Valley RTA bus system, which offers daily service from Denver to Gunnison.

The Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association is a great resource for all questions related to travel to and around the Gunnison Valley.

Getting to Bluegrass In Paradise:

A large free parking lot is available in Crested Butte at the four way stop the intersection of Highway 135 and Elk Avenue. You may park here and ride the Mountain Express shuttle bus to the base area. Be aware that on-site paid parking at the Crested Butte Mountain Resort is available but limited. Riding the free Mountain Express shuttle is a simple and stress free way to arrive at the Festival.
